Dr. Tom Kratky is passionate about giving patients the confidence and knowledge to manage pain and improve function after injury. He is a former Napanee Raider and has extensive experience working with a wide range of athletes at recreational, competitive collegiate, and professional levels. He spent the 2014 baseball season working as an intern with the Toronto Blue Jays after being awarded the Toronto Blue Jays Baseball Club Sports Medicine Scholarship. In the summer of 2019 he worked for the PamAm medical team for the Fencing World Championship.

Dr. Kratky’s education started in Kingston at St. Lawrence College where he completed the Fitness and Health Promotion diploma. He is a Certified Personal Trainer with the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology. His drive for continuing education led him to Sheridan College where he earned an Honors Bachelor of Applied Health Sciences in Athletic Therapy. He is a member of the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association and is a Certified Athletic Therapist. From there, he completed his Doctor of Chiropractic at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. He has won numerous awards at every level of his education.

Dr. Kratky has completed further training including: Medical
Acupuncture at McMaster University, Functional Range Conditioning
(FRCms), Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) Part A,
FixYourOwnBack, APTEI: Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) Management and concussion management courses. His primary goal is to work with patients to develop individualized programs so they can get back to doing what they love.

Dr. Brianna Newman

DC, BSc, PgD

Chiropractor

Dr. Newman believes in an integrative and individualized approach to patient care, and she is dedicated to educating patients and empowering them to be active members in optimizing their own health. She achieved her Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics from the University of Guelph where she was a member of the varsity women’s rugby team. Her interest in sports and movement mechanics led her to Scotland where she attended Robert Gordon University and attained a post graduate diploma in Sports Biomechanics. Her personal experience with athletic injury fueled her passion for individualized patient care leading her to the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC), where she earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree. To further her learning, Dr. Newman also completed the Medical Acupuncture program at McMaster University.

Born and raised in Belleville, Dr. Newman has been a long standing member of the local Belleville Bulldogs rugby community. During her final years at Guelph as a competitive athlete, she also developed a passion for the sport of Crossfit and in recent years has achieved her CrossFit Level 1 Coaching certification. As a CrossFit athlete and coach she has gained valuable experience observing and coaching basic movements of daily living as well as a variety of athletic skills. In addition, Brianna has worked extensively with the women's health population including pregnant and postpartum patients. 

Dr. Newman uses a multi-faceted approach to patient care, combining functional assessment, manual therapy techniques, medical acupuncture and active rehabilitation. She uses a variety of tools to allow her to build a unique treatment plan based on the needs of each individual patient.
